BONE TANGRAM SET

Robs268, an EBay antiques merchant at http://stores.ebay.com/robsantiquesshop sold this nicely done bone set, circa mid to late 1800's and was kind enough to allow me to share his sale photos with you. One replacement piece and a repaired corner but I wish I could have won the auction.

From Rob's EBay sale listing "This is a fine old Chinese carved cow bone (or similar) puzzle box containing seven Tangram puzzle pieces. The lid is very finely carved in openwork with two figures in a traditional setting, the sides are carved with village / countryside scenes and the puzzle pieces themselves are carved with phoenix."
