Tangram Generation and Display


System requirements

This version of the program is for Microsoft Windows and has been tested on Windows 95 and 98. Program disc space required is approximately 75 Kbyte. If the generated shapes are saved, disk space of around 70 bytes per shape is required and about 260 shapes per filename can be held.

Installation.

The program is supplied as wintan.zip. It should be unzipped using winzip or a compatible program to the directory C:\tangrams preferably or if this is inconvenient to some other of your choice. The zip file contains wintan.exe and wintan.hlp.Both should be located in the same directory.

Usage

The program may be started by double clicking on the file wintan.exe. You can also click START then RUN and typing C:\tangrams\wintan.exe" (if C:\ is the drive it is on) or it may have a shortcut placed on the desktop by right clicking the mouse on a space on the desktop and selecting NEW and then SHORTCUT then entering the path and filename as above when requested.

The help file is called up from the main menu of the program and this should be studied. Further information on the program is given on the website www.ewarsop.uklinux.net

The program wintan.exe is provided without warranties of any kind. Although it has been well tested it is not guaranteed to be free from bugs and usage is at your own risk.
